I was introduced to a new Webseries today called The Guild. This show chronicles the lives of a group of World of Warcraft players in the real world. The episodes are pleasantly short and the writing is hysterical. Sometimes there are one or two bad poop jokes, but other than that, if you know about the stereotype of MMORPG players, then you'll find this show amazing.
Oddly enough, a professor showed us this show during class. She presented the episodes as an example of independent authors successfully using new media for economic gain. The Guild has had a ton of people donate and they even had a screening at the super-successful PAX. I posted the first episode below if you don't want to go through the website to see the whole season.
Seriously, some of my classes are just so AWESOME.
